THE ROAD COURTS ARE A SHAM

I do appreciate that the goverment would like to curb road carnage. i also support the process to stop road carnage. kenyans deserve  to enjoy the roads and travell safely without the fear of some drunk driver or sleeping driver of city to city bus causing a masacre on the road.

Travelling to many is a hobby and they should be able to enjoy it and connect at their destination. So now we have road courts. a funny dressed officer stops you on the highway for doing more that 110km which by the way is now the highway speed limit for saloon cars.

He then ushers you to a tired bored looking Judge who wonders why he/she is not seated in a cozy room at his chambers but has to confired on a rustbucket and highway dust taking fines and causing traffic jam.

If the reality this gimmick is to enable to curb road carnage the policeman and the Judge should do this day and night stopping cars and taking name plus fine.

Of what benefit is to harass the morning drivers who actually left early morning so as to clearly avoid the City to City bus carnage. when the owners of this ill fated bus hide them in some dungeon in easily waiting to release hell at 3.30pm on the highway.

The judge and the police man are snoring the night away. Believe me from mai mai to Narok the re is only one police post  , deep into nowhere with a police man who is concern with Hyenas not bitting his ass off than City to City bus flying through the root.

Now now now! mr policeman tells us that the bus was over loaded. i am surprised he has not heard of the kisii probox or the Mbita Olwendas or the hombay wish that carry upto nine passangers and yes the judge and the policeman are nowhere on those roots.

The driver of the probox hangs lugubriously on the door and drive the probox at 120 km while my luo friend is concern that his fat buttock wont fit , this seat brother (ja homabay) is meant for three we are six my friend your behind is not our concern.

Heading to kisii my dear brother fnds that we are squeezed and cant breathe but still wants to enjoy the luxury of sugarcane in the same matatu. by the way we do not have the Judge and policeman on the Hombay kisii route.

Reaching Suneka are very compromised police man and woman are concerned with seat belts, am perplexed how we can tire this michuki things when we are four on a three seater. this guy sitting on a plank of wood, is he/she invisible to the policeman.

Lets get back to The Judge seating in a bench under a tree waiting to pass judgement while drinking water and wondering why he is here.

My dear i left kisumu to go to Nairobi with only 5,000 shillings on me, i have nothing more than that. here now this policeman has arrested me for looking confused in an over crowded bus with no seat belt. Am fined 5,000sh that i probably do not have as i had to content with my friend chewing sugarcane to the point that i had to purchase some for my kids back home.

Well am to shipped to i dont know where untill i can disturb my relatives to make this safaricom guy even rich by mpesaring me some csh to sort this judge as bond. Now a happy journey has turned into me having madeni.hiding in nairobi till i can get the money to pay back is now the norm.

Anyway this road courts are not a solution to the road carnage but a money making scheme. you will not escape judgement when the hungry policeman stops you on the road. further more a journey  of two hours turns to 8 hours because of the jam they create.

Shock as human head found at Police Commission HQ

A freshly chopped head of a man has been found in a box that was left outside the National Police Service Commission offices in Nairobi.
The carton had the writing – Kavuludi you are next – which detectives have interpreted as death threat to the Commission’s chairman Johnston Kavuludi.
A pair of hands chopped from the wrist was also found in the box, together with the head which was covered with blood.
The box that was wrapped in a yellow polythene bag was abandoned for about two hours before police were alerted.
It was dropped on a flower bed, just outside Luther Plaza, where the Mr Kavuludi’s office is situated off Nyerere Road near the University of Nairobi.
Nairobi police chief Benson Kibui linked the incident to an earlier one where a torso, was found in a farm in Ruai.
The Torso had the head and hands missing.
“Judging by the decapitation of the head and hands, we can be able to connect. We shall start by seeking the identity of the victim, then we find the killers and establish their motive,” said Mr Kibui.
Workers at the Commission told police that the carton was dropped there at around 4pm, and the police chief said his officers were alerted two hours later.
Officers from the nearby Central Police station who were the first to arrive at the scene sealed it off and called in their colleagues from the Bomb Disposal Unit.
“The experts did not detect any explosives and so scene of crime analysts took over and found the head,” Mr kibui added.
He estimated the deceased was 30 years old.
Mr Kavuludi is the first chairman of the NPSC, which came into existence in October 2012 following enacting of new laws geared at police reforms.
It has been a bumpy ride for the time he has been in office because key decision he made were over looked by senior police commanders.
At the moment, efforts are on, including amending the law, aimed at stripping him of powers to oversee policing in Kenya.

Compared to Kenyan MPs, Zimbawean President Robert Mugabe is a saint

Robert Mugabe has been so demonised by the Western world that Africans have also started to sing the same tune. African leaders have been heard to condemn Bob, as he is fondly known, to the extent that they lose sight of their own excesses.

But when you look at the African political landscape you realise that comrade Bob is in good company from Pretoria to Cairo. The guy may have become senile, but he has done much more than all current Kenyan parliamentarians put together.
Mugabe repossessed the fertile lands long held by the British who were treating the natives as if they were aliens in their own land. The idea was noble but the methodology may have been the problem as there was no structural or even legal framework for it. However, he has a large Zimbabwean constituency behind him.
The Kenyan MPs pretend to know nothing beyond their mostly distended bellies and upturned noses. Now they want to wriggle out of the ‘state officers’ bracket so that they cannot be checked. How cunning! They have been accused of being in the business of the ‘stomach’ and have even complained over this ‘slur’ but have not done much to change their habits. Their foremost uniting factor is salary and control of CDF.
On legislation, they’ve become trivial and partisan to the extent that there is rarely intellectual or objective debate and most only articulate their party bosses’ views on practically every bill. Governors, senators and county representatives are doing a good job catching up with the MPs. Are they really any different from Mugabe? The guy is a saint.
However it should be noted that there are a few good guys in there whose voices get lost in the cacophony during debates and salary agitation sessions.
These good men and women will forever be lumped together with the rest because they recoil when the public needs them most.

Kenyan man charged with theft in US

A Kenyan man has been charged with siphoning more than $60,000 (Sh5.2 Million) from a US dental practice where he worked as a business manager.
Peter Ngunyi, 33, turned himself into the Fulton County Jail last week on theft charges after doctors at Atlanta Periodontal specialty reported that he had embezzled money from their business.
Sandy Springs police spokeswoman Forrest Bohannon told the Nation that the complainants believe Mr Ngunyi used his position as a consultant to commit the fraud. “They have reported that he used an American Express card and some fraudulent payroll activity in order to embezzle the money.”
Police records show that Ngunyi, who provided advertising and marketing services to the business, made unauthorized payments to his own company and to several marketing sites, including GoDaddy.com and Google Adwords.
“He had access to the credit cards and payroll of the business,” said Bohannon.
Ngunyi’s lawyer, Jeff Brickman, told a media briefing in Atlanta that his client immediately turned himself into the jail upon learning of a warrant for his arrest.
The lawyer says there must have been a misunderstanding between his client and the doctors.
“This is a purely contractual matter and has no business being in the criminal courts,” Brickman said.
Brickman also expressed disappointment that police were quick to take out warrants against Ngunyi without first getting his side of the story. “I am talking to the Fulton County District Attorney’s office about having the case dismissed so that it can be handled in civil court.”
The Fulton County Jail records show that Ngunyi posted a $20,000 (Sh 174,000) bond and is now out on bail.

40-years-old Zimbabwean mother set to marry own son

A 40-year-old Zimbabwean woman and mother is set to marry her own son and the pair claim to be very much in love with each other.

And now they want to take their relationship to the next level and get married considering that the mother, Betty Mbereko (from Mwenezi in Masvingo) is now six months pregnant and expecting her son’s child and her grand child.
Mbereko, 40, has been a widow for the past 12 years and has been living with her 23-years-old son Farai Mbereko.
She confirms that she is six month pregnant and that she has decided it is better to “marry” her son because she does not want to marry her late husband’s young brothers, whom she says are coveting her.
Betty stunned a village court last week when she said the affair with her son had begun three years earlier.
She said after spending a lot of money sending Farai to school following the death of her husband, she felt she had a right to his money and no other woman was entitled to it.
“Look, I strove alone to send my son to school and no one helped me. Now you see that my son is working and you accuse me of doing something wrong.
“Let me enjoy the products of my sweat,” she told the village court council.
Farai said he was more than prepared to marry his mother and would pay off the ilobola balance his father had left unpaid to his grandparents.
“I know my father died before he finished paying the bride price and I am prepared to pay it off,” he said. “It is better to publicise what is happening because people should know that I am the one who made my mother pregnant.
Otherwise they will accuse her of promiscuity.” But local headman Nathan Muputirwa says: “We cannot allow this to happen in our village, mashura chaiwo aya, (This is a bad omen indeed). In the past they would have to be killed but today we cannot do it because we are afraid of the police.”
He warned them to immediately break off their marriage or leave his village. They chose the latter and have since left the village for an undisclosed destination.

CASH WASH BUSINESS IN KENYA..........THE MULTI MILLION BUSINESS

Car Wash Business in Kenya –with the sudden influx of fairly used cars into Kenya, thousands of cars are on the road daily, and people are still buying more cars daily. As most of these roads are untarred, cars get dirty quite frequently. Thus there is need for car washing services. Not only to keep the vehicles clean, but for the cars to last longer.

Starting a car wash business in Kenya is a wonderful business idea. You will have so many customers/clients, as these days nobody seems to have enough time to wash their cars themselves. This business is open to everybody; the secondary school leaver to the university graduate, employed, unemployed, literate, uneducated. It’s one very lucrative business for anyone that is willing to get a little dirty and make money for yourself.

Basic Requirements
In order to go into a car wash business in Kenya, certain factors, must be considered namely; little capital, water supply, equipment, and location.
Capital
The very first step to consider is how to raise funds, for the business. With a well-detailed business plan, you could acquire capital from a bank, savings and loans, or any other financial institution. The cheapest, though the slowest way to raise capital, is by offering door-to-door services, to friends, relatives, neighbours and the elderly. This approach has the added advantage of you self- advertising your services, thereby increasing your customer base. Other media of advertisement are posting on walls, and social website .e.g. facebook, twitter, myspace etc.

Tools and Equipment
Before building a bay for your car wash business in Kenya, it is essential to have hand brushes, sponge, bucket, car detergent, as your primary tools for washing cars, especially in your door-to-door services. Other equipment such as water pumping machine, hose and nozzle, pressure washer, stand by generator, water storage tanks, vacuum cleaner, sprayers, would then be required when you build your shop. Sitting, food and drinks stand, as well as a place to relax, could go a long way to attract customers, this will generate even more income.

Water Supply
This is the main element in the business, it is therefore very important that the location is close to a natural water supply. Other alternatives include drilling a bore-hole, or digging a well, which should be treated regularly. The tank should always be filled with water, should in case, there is water shortage, the tank water could be used.
